Preparation & Cleaning
The foundation of a perfect application lies in meticulous preparation. Ensure your workspace is brightly lit and free from dust. Begin by thoroughly cleaning your timepiece or handbag hardware using a diagnostic alcohol-based cleaner and a lint-free microfiber cloth. Remove all traces of oils, fingerprints, and residue to guarantee optimal film adhesion.
Application Process
- Gently remove the precision-cut TPU film from the backing using professional-grade tweezers.
- Lightly mist the adhesive side of the film and the target surface with our specialized application solution.
- Position the film accurately, aligning it with the edges of the watch link or hardware component.
- Using the provided soft squeegee, apply gentle pressure from the center outward to remove excess solution and eliminate any air bubbles.
Setting & Curing
Once positioned, use a clean, dry microfiber cloth to blot away any moisture around the edges. Allow the protective film to cure undisturbed for 24 to 48 hours. During this period, avoid contact with water or excessive handling to ensure the thermal bonding process reaches maximum strength, resulting in a virtually invisible finish.
Expert Tips
For curved surfaces or complex corners, a hair dryer on a low, warm setting can be used briefly to soften the TPU, making it more pliable for a seamless wrap. Always handle the film by its edges with tweezers to prevent introducing oils from your skin to the adhesive layer.
Care Instructions
- Maintain the pristine finish of your protective film by gently wiping surfaces with a clean, damp microfiber cloth; avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that may compromise the TPU seal.
- For leather handbags and complex watch components, ensure the film edges remain free from debris by periodically inspecting and lightly drying the area after exposure to moisture or high humidity.
